Who processes the payments?

All our payments are processed by Paddle. This allows us to be tax compliant all around the world while keeping your payment information safe.

Our fair prorated approach to upgrades and downgrades

We apply a fair prorated approach to all upgrades and downgrades.

When you change plans, Paddle will adjust your subscription costs. For example, if you are on a $29 monthly plan and your payment is due on the 1st of every month, and you change to a $99 monthly plan on the 15th of a 30-day month. In this case, you have already paid $10 and used half of it (because you’re in the middle of the month). When you change to the new plan:

  • You get a $14.5 credit for the unused part of your current billing cycle: $29 * (15 days unused / 30 days total) = $14.5
  • You pay $49.5 for the new plan for the rest of the billing cycle: $99 * (15 days remaining / 30 days total) = $49.5.
  • The total cost of switching from Professional to Company is $35: +$14.5 credit – $49.5 debit = -$35 charge.
